Startups and small businesses can use Wefunder to raise capital from a community of over 1 million investors. The platform supports various types of fundraising, including equity crowdfunding and community rounds, and offers guidance throughout the process. Companies benefit from exposure to a broad investor base and retain control over their fundraising terms.
In general, individuals who are 18 years or older are eligible to invest.
Wefunder charges investors a transaction fee of 2% for payments made by bank ACH or wires. The minimum fee is $8, and the maximum fee is $150. For payments made by credit cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, Wefunder charges a 5.5% fee + $2 with a minimum of $10.
For Reg CF, Wefunder charges only 7.9% of the total raise if successful. For instance, if a company raises $100,000, we charge $7,900 upon close. We charge no upfront fees. After the successful raise, a company can choose to file their annual report with us for $500.
Additionally, we charge an annual admin fee of $1,000 per year for all companies to cover a variety of post-close services.
